Abstract

This is an established fact that the prophecies regarding arrival of The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), as the last and final messenger are the part of the religious scriptures of all major religions. Hinduism is no exception in this context. Vedic and Puranas literature of Hindu religion contain the prophecies about a personality whose name has been mentioned as Narashangsa and Kalki. Prof. Pandit Ved Prakash, a Hindu Sanskrit scholar, realized this fact that characteristics of Narashangsa or Kalki, mentioned in religious literature of Hinduism are match the attributes of the Prophet Muhammad PBUH. He wrote two books, Narashangsa and Antim Rishi and Kalki Avatara and Muhammad to reveal this fact and claimed that Narashangsa or Kalki has been sent by the God fourteen hundred years ago in form of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Now Hindus should not wait for any such personality; rather they should believe in Prophet Muhammad PBUH. Prof. Ved tried to promote religious harmony by writing these books. A critical analysis of his research and claims has been done in this article.
